The history, evolution and objectives of Avventura Urbana are the result of our team of experts in mediation, communications, design and architecture, political science, sociology and human rights.

MANAGING PARTNERS

Alberto Cena

Chair of the Board of Directors of Avventura Urbana, he has a degree in Government Sciences from the University of Turin and completed his management studies with a Master’s in Business Administration and Strategy at 24ORE Business School.

Andrea Pillon

Andrea Pillon has been a member of Avventura Urbana since 1999. An expert in the analysis and facilitation of inclusive decision-making processes, he specializes in the mediation of environmental conflicts, strategic planning and production of local development projects.

Maddalena Rossi

With a PHD in Urban & Regional Planning, Maddalena is an expert in interactive planning, design and conflict mediation. She has been working in Avventura Urbana since 2008, coordinating the Tuscan headquarters of the company.

PARTNER

Francesca Fazio

Graduated in international relations and specialized in human rights at the University of Essex (UK), she started working in Avventura Urbana in 2018 and is its youngest partner. She integrates her experience in managing participatory processes with the knowledge acquired during the numerous European and international volunteering projects in which she has taken part over the years. She is responsible for the management of participatory processes for social inclusion,equal opportunities and sustainable development, and carries out the promotion of society at an international level.

Iolanda Romano

Doctor in Regional Public Policy, graduated in Architecture, she is an expert in participatory communication and conflict mediation. She was one of the founders of Avventura Urbana and she chaired from its establishment until January 2016; she is still a member. She is the expert in participation on the Open Government Partnership (Open Government Task Force). She is the founder and president of Scuola Capitale Sociale.

Alessandro Talarico

Senior communications expert, he has created many informative and public communication campaigns, websites and social media campaigns for various public and private clients, like Torino Film Festival, Cinema Ambiente, Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT), Infrato (Mobility Infrastructure) among others. He is a professional photographer and graphic designer, and he also collaborates with Avventura Urbana for the creation of technical publications and for the production of communication tools aimed at a wide audience.

THE TEAM

PROJECT MANAGER

Vittoria Bosso

A graduate in Systemic Design at the Polytechnic University of Turin, she is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Management and co-production of participatory processes, communities and proximity networks (UniBo). Since 2022 she has been working with Avventura Urbana in international promotion and on projects relating to impact assessments and sustainability reports (both social and environmental).

Chiara Chiari

A doctor in Town Planning and Urban Design, she consolidated her training with a Master’s in Interactive and Participatory Planning (IUAV of Venice). She has worked for Avventura Urbana since 2019 in communications and designing graphic aids for facilitation, as well as in the graphical rendering of data, graphs, maps and reports for a detailed understanding of participatory processes.

Laura Fortuna

A graduate in Urban and Territorial Planning, she consolidated her training by participating in applied research workshops both in Italy and abroad. She has been working with Avventura Urbana since 2018 on conflict mediation, strategic planning and interactive design projects. She currently coordinates participatory processes to support the construction of regional government tools.

Gaia Volpe

A graduate in Sociology and International Relations, she specialised in urban regeneration and social innovation at IUAV University in Venice. She has been responsible for organizing and coordinating participatory events for Avventura Urbana since 2021.

PROJECT ASSISTANTS

Benedetta Bizzarri

Graduated in Design, she specialized in graphic and communication projects, specifically dealing with the creation of web pages and websites, graphic identity and logotype, graphic cage and layout of documents and materials communications oriented. She has been collaborating with Avventura Urbana since 2023 in projects design.

Francesca Crotti

She has graduated in Intercultural Communication and is completing the course in Social Policies and Services at the University of Turin. After having worked on projects to support social, scholastic and work inclusion, as well as research activities in Italy and abroad, she has starting her collaboration with Avventura Urbana in 2023 in the management and organization of participatory processes and events.

Luca Ferracuti

A graduate in Political Science and International Relations from Urbino University, he has worked for Avventura Urbana in organizing participatory events and discussions with citizens. He manages interaction platforms for meetings relating to projects carried out by Avventura Urbana.

Sarah Melchiorre

A doctor in Town Planning and Urban Design (Double Diplôme Bordeaux-Florence), she has been working with Avventura Urbana since 2021 in creating listening surveys, facilitating participatory events and discussions with citizens and in organizing event logistics.

ADMINISTRATION

Valeria Antrilli

HR coordinator

A senior expert in the production and logistical organization of events in Italy and abroad, she handles the logistical aspects of many public debates organized by Avventura Urbana and coordinates human resources.

Loredana Caridi

Administrative manager

With many years’ experience in the administrative and accounting sector, I have worked for Avventura Urbana since 2021, helping with accounts management and compliance with administrative and tax procedures.

Laura Milani

Head of Management Control

A graduate in Business Administration and Control at the University of Turin, she has worked for Avventura Urbana since 2022 in the area of corporate management control.

Yago Pasqualotto

Commercial manager

A graduate in Government Sciences, since 2021 he has been working for Avventura Urbana as a project assistant for public debates and participatory events organized by the company. He also manages participation in tender procedures.
