Débat on Fiscal Federalism

In 2011 the City of Turin and the organizing Committee of “Italia Centocinquanta” put Avventura Urbana in charge of continuing the second edition of Biennale Democrazia with a deliberative democracy process on federalism.

The débat included citizens chosen by random sampling in the cities of Turin, Florence and Lamezia Terme, who participated in the event according to the methodology of the Citizens’ Jury. During the process, the participants met experts on constitutional, fiscal, scholastic and health matters, and politicians with diverging views. The process was concluded with a series of recommendations voted unanimously by the jury of citizens.
