Port of Genoa: the first public debate in Italy is coordinated by Avventura Urbana

In 2021, Avventura Urbana’s member Andrea Pillon coordinated the public debate on the new breakwater of the Port of Genoa, the first public work subjected to this procedure after its introduction into the Italian law.

The work was presented to citizens, who were able to delve deeper into the main elements of the work and ask questions relating to the infrastructure. The meetings, due to the restrictions for Covid 19 spread containment measures, were held totally online allowing participation in complete safety.
Furthermore, the entire process was followed by a technical commission, not provided for by law and activated to facilitate discussions between the institutions and entities interested in carrying out the work and the economic and social forces of the City in the context of dedicated technical meetings.
