on Bologna junction

In 2016 Avventura Urbana was in charge of conducting a public discussion for the extension of the beltway and highway junction of the City of Bologna.

The three-months-long discussion was designed and managed by Avventura Urbana on behalf of the Monitoring Committee chaired by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and composed by the representatives of Emilia Romagna Region, the Metropolitan City of Bologna, the City of Bologna, and Autostrade per l’Italia. Through several steps, the process allowed to open a dialogue with the neighborhoods directly affected by the project, and to delve into the most important matters by involving experts nominated by both the proposer of the project and the committees opposed to it. In 2017 the final design of the Bologna junction was approved, breaking a deadlock that had lasted more than thirty years.
