At construction site school: InfraTo engages schools in Turin Metro extension

New engagement strategies for effective communication about the metro extension

Between October 2018 and May 2023, Avventura Urbana developed the communication plan to support the construction sites for the western extension of Line 1 of the Turin metro, on the Collegno – Cascine Vica section. As well as devising the multi-channel communications strategy, including the graphic identity, printed and construction site materials and redesigning the website with updates on the status of works, the company also carried out activities to increase engagement in schools and among the local population as a whole. In particular, Avventura Urbana organised two cycles of meetings and workshops aimed at children and young people from local schools to raise awareness about the techniques, tools and skills involved in the design and construction of the metro, encouraging reflection on the benefits that the project will bring to everyday life and to the future of the city.
